Magnesium glycinate chelate- This type of magnesium is to supplement mineral deficiency in the body. Magnesium is important for normal function of cells, nerves, muscles, bones, and the heart. Most common side effect is stomach upset and taking with meals will help it. Magnesium can make some medications not as effective- separate when you take this supplement from other medications or supplements. Zinc (Zinc amino acid chelate)- This is used to treat zinc deficiency, stomach problems and brain damage. There's little information on the amino acid chelate. However, zinc in general is an essential mineral for life and is present in some foods or as a supplement. It does many things in the body including immune function, protein building, wound healing, and normal growth and development. Deficiency causes growth retardation, loss of appetite, and impaired immune system function. Copper (copper citrate)- Copper is another essential mineral that helps our body make red blood cells. It also works on the blood vessels, nerves, immune system, and keep bones healthy. It is in certain shellfish, nuts, beans and organ meats. If you lack copper you can get osteoporosis or anemia. This shouldn't be taken in large amounts because it can be poisonous.
