Energy Helpers

We have an energy crisis the United States!  We have no energy!  This is why energy drinks are some of the most bough products out there- so now we have a natural option!   Here are some ingredients you can look for in supplements that are safe for long lasting energy!

Theacrine:  Per WebMD's supplement website- this is a naturally occurring chemical that is similar to caffeine and is found in different coffees, teas or plants.  People have used this supplement to help with common colds, tiredness and mental performance.  It can be commonly found in pre-workout supplements. One difference between this chemical and caffeine is that it doesn't seem to affect blood pressure.  There are little to no studies on this supplement, so there are no known interactions but it hasn't been proven to be effective scientifically.
L-Theanine- Also from the WebMD supplement source, this is an amino acid that is commonly found in green tea and works in the brain.  Some people use this for treatment of anxiety, blood pressure, and prevention of memory problems. There are few studies on this chemical, but it has been shown safe for most people for at least 3 weeks daily.  There are no known side effects, but it may interact with blood pressure medications and stimulant medications (it will decrease blood pressure and slow down the nervous system- so you'd watch for low blood pressures and stimulant might not work because it would counter act the action.)
Natural Caffeine (Coffea robusta)-  As you can guess, this is a type of coffee bean.  According to Wikipedia, about 30% of the world's coffee is produced from this type of coffee bean plant.  (Fun fact, the other main type of coffee is the Arabica bean).  It's considered more bitter and harsh, but is the traditional bean in Italian espresso.  People sensitive to caffeine should tread lightly, as it's the same as a cup of coffee.

So that's it!  3 ingredients bound together to try to bring you clean, healthy energy throughout the day!
